D4 Events tournaments sell out in 2010!

D4 Events tournaments have been massively popular in 2010. The European Deepstack Poker Championship in Dublin sold out a month in advance and there were other sell out events in Belgium and Vienna.

The European Short-Handed Poker Championship more than doubled the number of players who attended in 2009. In 2011 we expect this event to break the 600 player mark.

Amy Trodd wins the inaugural English Deepstack Poker Championship.

Amy Trodd overcame a field of 188 players to clinch victory in the first English Deepstack Poker Championships. Amy beat Pino Valentino heads up to take the £25,000 first prize. Pino won £16,000 for his second place finish.

Amy had previously held the chip lead in the Mediterranean Deepstack Poker Championships before suffering a huge bad beat in a massive pot to eventual runner up Thomas Nolan. This win puts Amy on top of the leaderboard for the D4 Events player of the year award.

D4 Events annouce a prize worth over €5,000 for the Player of the Year!

As the D4 Events poker schedule is getting larger we thought it was time we added a prize for the Player of the Year. For the purposes of the leaderboard the qualifying period will run from the English Deepstack Poker Championship in Luton to the end of the European Deepstack Poker Championship in Dublin which will take place again in February 2012.

The winner of the Player of the Year award will get a Free Entry to all of D4 Events £550 or€550 main events the following season. This prize will be worth over €5,000 as there will be more than 10 events to play!

All of D4 Events main events and side events will be included for ranking points. Points will be given for every euro of prize money earned in these tournaments.

Magnus Nasslin wins the 4th European Deepstack in Dublin taking home €70,000!

737 players entered the 4th European Deepstack Poker Championship main event. After 4 days of deepstacked poker there was only one player left standing. Sweden's Magnus Nillson had decided to travel over whilst celebrating the new year with some of his friends. It proved to be a good decision as they all shared a slice of his €70,000 payday.

Laurent Catala was the runner up, his A5 no match for Magnus's KK in the final hand. The Frenchman took home €54,000 to soften the blow. His countryman Alexi Di Filippo was third taking €48,410.

Over 30 different countries were represented in the main event with players travelling from as far as the USA and Russia to play.

D4 events is pleased to announce that we have secured Casino Portoroz on the beautiful Slovenian coast for a 500 player capacity event with two start days. Everybody who came to the last event was blown away by this undiscovered gem of a poker location. VIP treatment for the players, fantastic food (probably the best poker buffet you will ever get and it's FREE!) and gorgeous weather.

You can get to Portoroz by flying to Trieste, Llubjana or Venice and we can arrange a free transfer to the casino.

D4 events is pleased to announce that we are joining forces with The Broadway Casino in Birmingham for the second English Deepstack Poker Championship. The event will take place in September 2011 and the main event will have a capacity of 400 players pver the two day ones.

The Broadway Casino has one of the UK's busiest poker rooms and the event is sure to be one of the biggest on our calendar this year. Live and online satellites will be starting soon!
